Building a marketplace is a different order of challenge from building a brochure site. LuxSeeker set out to bring the UK's finest luxury retailers and independent specialists together in one place, offering pre-owned and new branded goods to a discerning audience. The platform had to feel as premium as the products it showcases.
Luxury shoppers judge quickly. If a site feels slow, cluttered or generic, the spell breaks, so the design needed restraint: generous space, refined typography and imagery given room to speak. At the same time, a marketplace lives or dies on findability, so structure and navigation had to work as hard as the aesthetics.
